Stanley Chin - Army
Stanley Chin proudly and admirably served in WWII to fight for his country. Following the war, he reunited with his wife Sandy Lee Chin and they were finally able to start their family. With their modest savings, they opened a small neighborhood grocery store in Phoenix, Arizona, working seven days a week, early morning to late night, in order to support their three children. Through hard work and perseverance Stanley and Sandy were able to achieve their American Dream, supporting all of their children through college. Later in life, Stanley and Sandy contributed funds to build a new wing of a school in their hometown in Kaiping, Guangdong Province, China. Stanley and Sandy were model citizens and bastions of community service in Phoenix for over 40 years. They were philanthropists of the highest order, and contributed to churches, schools, and local charities. They retired to San Francisco, California, spending their golden years with family and their beloved grandchildren.
